Filmmakers Discover Strange Hometown Connection

Saturday, June 5, 2004

Richard O'Sullivan, John Edmonds, and Greg Thompson grew up within a few short miles of one another but never met. "It was a small town environment, where everyone is supposed to have at least heard of one another, but our paths never crossed," said O'Sullivan. As it turns out, the "Communication Breakdown" Director's mother was friends with Thompson's cousin but the two men didn't come in contact until the actor (from TV's "One Tree Hill" and "Dawson's Creek;" and the upcoming Dale Earnhardt biopic, "3") starred in the film "AfterLife," which was penned by O'Sullivan. "I didn't know about the connection until Greg was on the set filming his scenes." A similar situation involved O'Sullivan's CB Co-Producer John Edmonds. The filmmakers only discovered that they hailed from the same hometown a couple of days before production on the quirky comedy began.
