'Communication Breakdown' Producers Shoot Documentary on Linda McCartney Project

Three of the driving creative forces behind "Communication Breakdown" -- Linda Jean Marlowe, Richard O'Sullivan, and Fred Hueston (the founders of a new venture called Seventh House Media) -- have signed on to produce a behind-the-scenes documentary detailing "The McCartney Project: Enduring Ties," an evening of film and ballet chaired by actress Andie MacDowell ("sex, lies, and videotape"). The event, organized by Garland Appeal USA (a charity formed in memory of Linda McCartney), the Asheville Ballet, Casting for Recovery (a vacation retreat for those living with breast cancer), and Little Pearls (a production company dedicated to making life-affirming 30-second films), will benefit charities devoted to the fight against breast cancer. In addition to an original ballet choreographed by the acclaimed Ann Dunn, the evening will present a charity auction and a screening of the new Ken Vrana film, "Snow Angels" (featuring music from Paul McCartney and Sarah McLachlan). 

 

'Communication Breakdowners' Play Thriller Villains

Mike De Loach and Michael "Big Mike" McElrath (who appeared in "Communication Breakdown" as a military police officer and a store clerk's boyfriend respectively) will next appear in the thriller, "Sisters," playing a duo of colonial henchmen who round up three women falsely accused of witchcraft. After their execution, the sisters come back to life to exact revenge on the modern day descendants of the townspeople who killed them. Two other Lost Colony alums, Andrea Crampe and A.E. Hawkins ("Radio Free Babylon"), are also working behind the scenes on "Sisters."

 

'Communication Breakdown' Star Goes on Tour

Willie Repoley (who plays straight-edge DJ Cary Martin in "Communication Breakdown") is set to hit the road with his band Mock Turtle Soup in support of their new album "Of Both Worlds." The eclectic three-piece ensemble will kick off the first leg of their tour October 8 in Charlotte. They'll then crisscross the U.S., hitting such stops as Baltimore, Phoenix, and San Diego. 'Communication Breakdown' Star In Headbanging Documentary

As the "Bad Boys of Metal" tour kicked off last Thursday in Santa Ana, California, "Communication Breakdown" star Jasmin St. Claire (Janice) was on hand to interview original Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler (who now fronts his own band, Adler's Apetite) for an upcoming documentary about the 1980's metal scene. Other headbangers featured on the tour include Jani Lane of Warrent, Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot, and Bang Tango.

Respected actress Chloe Sevigny, who impressed critics and audiences alike with her performances in such acclaimed fare as "Kids" and "Boys Don't Cry" is now shocking the world with her recent turn in "The Brown Bunny," directed by the film's star Vincent Gallo ("Buffalo 66"). The controversy was sparked by the closing ten minutes of the flick in which Sevigny actually performs fellatio on Gallo. "I've heard of actresses blowing their director to get a role," said filmmaker Richard O'Sullivan ( "Communication Breakdown"). "But this is a new twist. I salute Chloe. She's a brave actress. 'Choke Boy' Produces Horror Film

Actor Jacob Christner, who appears in the upcoming "Communication Breakdown" as a convenience store choking victim, has signed on to produce a new low-budget horror film from director Richard Clark entitled "Matinee" (a story about a killer stalking teenagers inside a movie theater). Christner previously produced and directed "Keep the Flame Alive," a basketball documentary which aired in syndication during last year's March Madness coverage.

Satu Rautaharju, who plays sexy stalker Misty in Richard O'Sullivan's "Communication Breakdown," was in Elizabeth, New Jersey this past Saturday, helping the Independent Film Channel (IFC) select contestants for its new game show, "Film Fanatics." The program, which airs weekly on the cable channel, is a co-production of IFC and Loew's Theaters. Rautaharju was part of a celebrity panel of judges which included the NBA's Jason Collins.

Three of the driving forces behind the upcoming "Communication Breakdown" -- Writer/Producer/Director Richard O'Sullivan, Producer Linda Jean Marlowe, and Executive Producer Fred Hueston -- have announced the formation of a new company geared toward the development and production of projects for film and television. Dubbed 7th House Media, the new venture brings together the combined experience and expertise of its partners, who have worked for clients as varied as NBC, Toyota, J-Crew, Hyundai, and NASA.
